HORSE SPORT IRELAND & SPORT N.I. ARE DELIGHTED TO OPEN THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE NEW IN-TAKE OF CANDIDATES FOR THE 2016

H.S.I / SNI - TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMME
DATE; Thursday 1st October 2015
VENUE: PORTMORE EC

TIME; From 2pm – 8.30pm; All times will be allocated to suit each individual.

The Three Affiliates, S.J. I. [U.R], N.R. Eventing & Dressage N.I. will place this Add on their websites & will compile a short list of candidates from those who have personally applied and full-fill the criteria set-out below.

This is Program is Open to All currant Registered Members.
* All Candidates must contact their N.I. Discipline and let them know they would like to be nominated for the H.S.I / SNI-TD Programme, Giving in their age, experience & the same information for the animal you will bring.

* Only Horses and 148cm ponies are permitted. An up-to-date, current year, competition record must accompany each application.

* Minimum age for the rider is 14yrs or over of the current year, New for this Term, 2016 - Maximum Age is 30yrs. ** Show-Jumping only – Children on Horses** a 12yr old Athlete, with a suitable Horse, can apply.

* You must be a current registered, active member. You are not eligible if you have been on a WEG, Olympic or Senior European Squad in the past or current year.

* The Successful Nominees will go before an Assessment panel. 2 Dressage Tutors assess All candidates in a set piece of work. Dressage specific candidates will also have a Set Test to perform. 1 Show-Jumping Tutor & 1 Eventing Tutor will assess the Eventing & Jumping candidates in a simple Jumping exercise. These Tutors will have the Final, Sole Selection responsibility to put forward the most suitable candidates in their opinion, for the programme. Each candidate will receive a written copy of their assessment and the outcome of the day, within one week of assessment.

* H.S.I recognises that each regional discipline already has an excellent training programme in place. This Programme, supported by Sport NI, is to improve already skilled athletes on a pathway towards Senior High Performance.

* Cost; £25 for your Assessment day & this is the same cost for all mounted Training days.
