2015 Bluegrass Autumn Pony Tour Unveiled
ShowJumping Ireland Ulster Region Pony Committee are excited to unveil the '2015 Bluegrass Autumn Pony Tour' which will kick off in style next weekend with an action packed schedule to suit every level of competitor in the newly refurbished 'Lusks Equestrian Centre' in Lisburn, Co Antrim and will culminate in a fabulous 'Finale of Bluegrass Champions' at Connell Hill Equestrian Centre on Saturday 17th October 2015.

The hugely successful Bluegrass Autumn Pony Tour will run over eight weeks with rounds in all corners of the province and classes ranging from 128 50cm to Children On Horse 1.10m/1.20m Handicap. For further information please contact Teresa McKenna 07716007573

2015 Bluegrass Autumn Pony Tour Criteria / Rules
1. Ulster Region Autumn Pony Tour Classes to be run under Article No: 238 2.2 or 274 5.3
2. 45 second countdown clock to be operational in all classes
3. Points will be awarded for the athlete and where the athlete gains more than one place, the highest place points only will be awarded. Points are not transferred down the line
4. Points will be awarded to 10th place – 10,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1,1 - Points allocated at the Final will be points and a half i.e. 15,12,10.5,9,7.5,6,4.5,3,1.5,1.5
5. Novice Classes - 128 70cm, 128 80cm, 138 90cm, 148 1m. Points awarded to Athlete/Pony Combination as follows: 3 point for competing; 6 points for clear first round and 9 points for second clear round. Points in the final will be awarded to 10th place – Points allocated at the Final will be 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1
6. The Novice League is open to 128cm ponies jumping 70cm and 80cm; 138cm ponies jumping 90cm and 148cm ponies jumping 1.00m. Ponies must not compete higher than 80cm, 90cm, 1.00m and 1.10m between 1st January 2015 and the Tour Final Date
7. Best 5 out of 8 possible scores will denote the winner, where there is equality of points the highest placed combination at the final will get the higher placing
8. To be eligible for money and prizes in the tour athletes must compete at the final and be present for the presentation
9. Athletes on Temporary Tickets or riding H/C are not eligible to jump for points in the Ulster Region Bluegrass Autumn Pony Tour
10. In the event of a tie, the overall winner of the Tour will be the highest placed athlete on the final day
11. In exceptional circumstances the Ulster Region Pony Committee's decision is final

50cm Bluegrass Autumn Pony Tour Rules
1. Eligible athletes will be in their 6th year – Under 12 Years of age on 1st January 2015
2. The class will run under Article 274.5.1
3. Points awarded to Athlete/Pony Combination as follows: 3 point for competing; 6 points for clear first round and 9 points for second clear round. Points in the final will be awarded to 10th place – Points allocated at the Final will be 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 1
4. The Final will be run under optimum time with the display clock being turned off during the athlete’s round and turned back on after completion of the round
5. Athlete must not have competed higher than 75cm between 1st January 2015 and the League Final date
6. Best 5 out of 8 possible scores will denote the winner, where there is equality of points the highest placed combination at the final will get the higher placing
7. Athletes on Temporary Tickets or riding H/C are not eligible to jump for points in the Ulster Region Autumn Pony Tour
