2015 BLUEGRASS SUMMER TOUR RULES
The Jewel-in-the-crown in Ulster Region Show Jumping which attracts the biggest stars in Show Jumping promises to be one of the most competitive seasons ever seen as we unveil a new format to the tour.

Combining top-class equestrian sport with a glamorous social occasion, the
2015 Bluegrass Summer Tour will have something for everyone. Ten of best Ulster Region venues join the ‘Bluegrass Summer Tour’ in 2015 to decided our champions in a shortened tour of the very best of what the region has to offer the brightest stars in the sport.

The Bluegrass Summer Tour will include 1.35m, 1.20m, 1.10m and 1m classes with Portmore Equestrian Centre hosting the spectacular launch pad for the Tour on 3rd May and the hotly-contested final touching down at National Balmoral Championships 19-21/22 July.

WINNER £2,000, RUNNER- UP £750, 3RD
£500, 4TH £100, 5TH £100, 6TH £100 with rugs to winner of League and rosettes for 1st to 8th

There will be a Perpetual Cup/Trophy awarded to the highest placed Junior /
Young rider in the 1.35m section.

Porches Diamond Memorial Cup to be presented by Gillian Lee to the winner of the Leg of the 1.35m Tour at The Meadows Equestrian Centre .
Prize Fund at each show to be a minimum of €1,200/ £1,000stg with Rug to winner of each leg.

1.20M & 1.10M
WINNER £500, RUNNER UP £300, 3RD £200, 4TH £100, 5TH £100, 6TH £100 with rugs to winner of League and rosettes for 1st to 8th
The Prize Fund at each show to be a minimum of £150/ €180.

1.00m
WINNER £500, RUNNER UP £300, 3RD £200, 4TH £100, 5TH £100, 6TH £100 with rugs to winner of League and rosettes for 1st to 8th
The Prize Fund at each show to be a minimum of £100/ €130.

1.35M, 1.20M, 1.10M & 1M SUMMER TOUR
Points awarded as follows: Horse/ Rider combinations will receive points.
1st –10, 2nd—8, 3rd—7, 4th—6, 5th—5, 6th—4, 7th—3, 8th—2, 9th—1, 10th—1.
50% bonus points for Final Leg eg 1st –15,
2nd—12 etc.

SIX Ulster Tour Legs placings PLUS the FINAL count towards the total of each
combination’s points. If a combination competes in more than SIX League Legs
then the rounds with the least points gained will be dropped from the total of his/her points.

All tour classes running prior to the 1.35m in that arena must be pre entered online. In case of equal points after the final leg, the highest placed combination (in the final leg) of those on equal points will be deemed the
winner.

A combination may compete and gain league points throughout the Tour but may only earn points in one class at the final leg.

To be eligible for League Prizes those in contention must jump in the Final Leg
and be present for the Presentation of Prizes – NO EXCEPTIONS

ULSTER REGION 1.35m SUMMER TOUR 2014
(To be run under Art: 238.2.2)
Prizes for placings 1st to 8th AND if more than 40 competitors in accordance with SJI Rules for 1 in 5 Prizes. (not less than the entry fee or 8th place whichever is least.)

Entry Fee to be capped at £25 stg. or €30 where minimum Prize Fund is provided.

Entry Fees may be increased by €5 for Prize Fund of €1,500 and for every further €500. Eg Prize Fund of €1,500 would have entry fee capped at €35.
Declarations via online system. Declarations close 4pm on Thursday afternoon.

NO DECLARATION NO JUMP.

Drawn order MUST be adhered to, this is applicable to combination not just the rider.
One rider may not be declared to ride more than 3 horses.
With permission of the Ground Jury, prior to commencement of the class, a rider may substitute a horse. NO substitution of rider is permitted.

Riders must present mounted and correctly dressed for the prize giving –NO
EXCEPTIONS

Officials: Senior National Judge or above, plus 2 others from Judges Panel,
Senior National Course Designer/ or above, Experienced starter.

Appeals : If necessary the appeal committee can be formed adhoc and should consist of at least 3 officials, one of wish must be a senior judge and 2 other SJI officials, for example senior course designer, stipendiary steward, field steward not related to a party interested in the result of the objection.

Start Time: Ulster League Grand Prix competitions should start at a prime time
where possible.

ULSTER REGION 1.20M, 1.10M AND 1M SUMMER TOUR
(to be run under Art. 274.5.3)
Prizes for placings 1st to 6th AND if more than 30 competitors in accordance with SJI Rules for 1 in 5 Prizes. (Not less than the entry fee or 6th place whichever is least.) Riders must present mounted and correctly dressed for the prize giving – NO EXCEPTIONS

This will run as part of the normal 1m, 1.10m and 1.20m classes held by the show and, where possible, on the same day as the Ulster Region Summer Tour 1.35m.

Recommended entry fee to be £15 / €20 for the minimum prize fund and to be in accordance with Prize money offered. Final leg to be run under Art. 238.2.2
